Building Employee Well-Being in a Hybrid Work Environment: The Role of HRD in Increasing Productivity in the Digital Era

Changes in global work practices due to the COVID-19 pandemic have prompted many companies to adopt a hybrid work system, a combination of in-office and remote work supported by digital technology. This change requires companies to adapt to maintain employee productivity and well-being in an increasingly competitive and dynamic digital world. This study aims to outline the role of Human Resource Development (HRD) in supporting employee well-being in a hybrid work environment and its impact on increasing organizational productivity. The research method used is a theoretical study referring to the Job DemandsResources (JD-R) theory and the concept of Perceived Organizational Support (POS) to understand the relationship between job demands, organizational support, and employee well-being. The results show that the balance between job demands and resource availability has a significant impact on individual well-being, motivation, and performance. In this context, HR plays a strategic role in creating an adaptive work environment through the use of digital technology, improved communication, and equitable support for all employees. Furthermore, HR is required to develop an inclusive, collaborative, and well-being-oriented work culture so that the hybrid work system can run effectively and sustainably
