Institutional Strategy of Oil Palm Plantations in Mamuju Regency, West Sulawesi Province

Institutional strategy in the development of oil palm plantations in Mamuju Regency, West Sulawesi, with a focus on internal and external factor analysis using the Internal Factor Analysis Summary (IFAS) and External Factor Analysis Summary (EFAS) methods. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that internal factors consisting of strengths and weaknesses, as well as external factors consisting of opportunities and threats, have a major influence on the success of palm oil agribusiness in this region. The total IFAS value is 2.84, which indicates the presence of more strengths compared to weaknesses, while the EFAS value reaches 2.68, which indicates greater opportunities compared to threats. In this context, institutional strategies that can be implemented include strengthening farmer organizations, increasing access to technology, and establishing partnerships with industry and government to maximize existing potential. Growth and development strategies based on integration between institutions and technology are the main recommendations to improve the competitiveness and sustainability of the palm oil sector in Mamuju
