Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of workforce competence and motivation on corn farming income in Tomohon City. The method used was a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis on 100 farmer respondents. The results showed that competence and motivation had a positive and significant effect, both partially and simultaneously, on income. Competence was the most dominant factor in increasing income, followed by motivation as a driver of performance and productivity. The coefficient of determination value of 0.73 indicates that income variation can be explained by these two variables. This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening human resource quality in improving farmer welfare and the sustainability of corn farming. The practical implications of this research are the need for training and policy support
